The exhibition “It's Always Tea-Time” dedicated to the book by Lewis Carroll “Alice in Wonderland” will be opened on April 27, 2019 in the gallery “Na Kashirke” of Moscow City Galleries Network.
The exhibition was prepared in 2015 for the 150th anniversary of the publication of the book “Alice in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll.
The main plot of the exhibition is the tea-drinking scene, which each author interprets in his own way. All works were created by artists specifically for this exhibition, which was exhibited in Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Poland, Germany, Hungary and the UK.
Curator of the project Vijve Noor (Estonia) united artists from different countries. Among the authors are leading illustrators, widely known in their countries and beyond, as well as artists who have not yet engaged in illustration, but have represented their countries at major international exhibitions (Venice Biennale, Tallinn Triennale of Illustration).
The exhibition presents graphics and illustrations, author's doll, art objects. There are more than 80 authors from 19 countries.
