The exhibition “And the shadows of childhood will subside...”

The anniversary exhibition “And the shadows of childhood will subside...” will be opened on April 27, 2019 in the gallery “Na Kashirke” of Moscow City Galleries Network as part of a network project for the anniversary of Vitaly Patsyukov.

“And the shadows of childhood will subside...” is the phrase from the poem by B. Pasternak. Vitaly Patsyukov, the curator and author of many Russian and international projects, uses this phrase from B. Pasternak’s poem as an image of farewell to childhood and at the same time returning to it as a reference point of the future.

The exhibition examines the presence of a curator experiencing his childhood on the one hand, and reflecting on the birth of adult forms of artistic consciousness, on the other. The exposition is located in the border zone between the life of the curator and the art that determined his creative evolution.

Painting, graphics, photography, video, books related to the personality of the curator, with his growing up, coexist equally in this integral model.

Participants: Vitaly Patsyukov, Ilya Kabakov, Eric Bulatov, Yulo Sooster, Vladimir Yankilevsky, Viktor Pivovarov, Alexander Pankin, Dmitry Pankin, etc.

Opening: April 26, 2019 at 18:00.
