On August 27, the gallery “Zagorie” of Moscow City Galleries Network in partnership with the Russian State Library for the Blind will present the exhibition “Beyond the Nile. The Art of Ancient Egypt”.
Most people think of art as something visual, but this does not mean that art should be inaccessible to people with visual disabilities. The exhibition will feature reproductions, copies of sculptures, reliefs and models of bright examples of art that can be viewed not only with the help of eyes, but also with the help of touch, and explications will be available in two versions, including in Braille.
The originals of the works presented at the exhibition are kept in museums in Cairo, Berlin, Paris, Moscow and other cities of the world, and models, reliefs and sculptures were made by volunteers. The exhibition will be of interest to a wide range of visitors, people with visual impairments, all those who are interested in culture and art.
Opening day: August 27, 17:00
