On the 1st of October, 2021 in the gallery Gallery "Varshavka" of the Association "Exhibition Halls of Moscow" will be the opening of the exhibition "Enclave". The exhibition will be based on footage of photographer Alexander Tarasenkov. The presented series of works is an original "portrait" of the Prussian city of Sovetsk (formerly Tilsit), located in the Kaliningrad region.
The Enclave is part of the country, with all surrounded by the territory of other states. Sovetsk is such a city. That is why the eclecticism of the "disconnected" territory is clearly felt in the author's photo works. Old and new, eastern and western, Soviet and Prussian converge here.
The exhibition consists of black and white photographs graceful in their melancholy. Pictures of Alexander Tarasenkov are full of internal dynamics and energy of life, despite the monochrome of tones. The author's works read the idea: "borderline" and "separated" does not mean "alien."
The exposition should be visited to find a piece of yourself in the image of a distant and unfamiliar land. A lyrical photo outline about the life of an unusual city will be remembered for its originality.
