On September 1, in the gallery “Varshavka” of Moscow City Galleries Network the exhibition of Ekaterina Permyakova “Walk in Moscow” will be opened. The artist's works are made in the genre of urban landscape.
The exposition will especially appeal to fanciers of the capital. There are no ceremonial views of the Kremlin or St. Basil's Cathedral in the framework of the exhibition. Permyakova's paintings are not postcards, but true images of old Moscow, the spirit of which even sophisticated viewers will fully feel.
Ekaterina Permyakova managed to display the architectural features of Moscow. The proximity of the princely, noble, merchant and Soviet past did not escape the artist's eyes. It is these contrasts, skillfully emphasized by the author, that create the unique image of Moscow.
From a technical point of view, the exhibited paintings are graphic sheets, for the creation of which Ekaterina uses gouache.
